About Yoke Consulting
A yoke is what aligns two animals so they can pull together. It's an old idea, and a deliberately chosen name. Yoke Consulting exists to align two things that often need assistance to pull in the same direction: a business and its IT.
For most small and mid-market businesses, IT isn't the business; it supports the business. But the people who sell IT services don't always see it that way. Recommendations get framed around their products, their margins, and their preferred ways of working, rather than around what the business actually needs. The gap between those two perspectives is where most IT pain comes from.
Yoke Consulting was built to close that gap. Independent advisory, plain English, scoped to need, and always on the client's side of the table.
About Glenn
Glenn Madden is the founder of Yoke Consulting. He brings more than 20 years of experience across IT project management, security, procurement, and advisory roles, with depth in healthcare, construction, and non-profit sectors.
Yoke Consulting was founded to sit with business owners, work through their IT problems in plain English, and recommend what's actually right for the business. The local market has good IT providers and good specialists in particular areas. What's harder to find is an independent advisor who isn't selling hardware or taking commissions on the side.

The four principles below shape every engagement.
Independent. We don't resell hardware, take IT provider commissions, or have a preferred vendor list to push. There's no margin to protect on the recommendation we give you. The only thing you're paying for is advice, and the advice is yours.
Plain English. Technical content gets translated into business terms before it reaches you. If a recommendation can't be explained to your team in language they understand, we haven't done the work properly.
Advisory, not directive. We recommend; you decide. The business is yours, the budget is yours, and the call is yours. Our job is to make sure you have everything you need to make the call confidently.
On your side of the table. When you're dealing with vendors and IT providers, we're there to help you understand what you're being told and push back where it's warranted. The relationships we have with technical vendors are professional, not transactional.
